The Rocky Mountain Chapter has been a blessing in our lives since Ron was diagnosed. They provide educational classes, loan equipment to use as long as we need, refer us to resources, provide monthly group support calls, and are available for email, questions, phone calls, and emotional support. We have used all of these resources and I don’t know what we would have done without them.
I used to think that ALS was a rare disease. But as we’ve talked to people, probably nine times out of ten the person had someone close to them who passed from ALS. A parent, aunt, uncle or friend. It’s much more prevalent than we realize and it’s a horrible disease
“Ron Bowman graduated from University with a degree in Physics and in Math. He then spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. Afterward, he became a Department of Defense contractor working as a Systems Engineer. His hobbies were ballroom dancing, genealogy, traveling and researching American Indian tribes. He loved coordinating social events with friends and church members. Ron met his wife in 1990 when they were taking ballroom dance lessons and the rest is history.

We have used all of these resources and I don’t know what we would have done without them.

My husband passed August 3, 2023 after a very courageous fight with this disease.
